Your Pashmina may just be a regal accessory to you. But it is bread and butter for a family in Kashmir. It's a father's promise of bringing food for his children. A mother's hope for the family's future. A child's only way to ensure that he or she gets to continue the school for one more season.

It started with a simple idea - empower artisans who are on the verge of poverty & use their artisan skills to make a living and support their families. But now it has become a full-fledged program that puts these people in charge of their own lives. It gives them the hope that their hard work will fetch them enough to keep their homes running.

Our statement hand-woven collection is for the fashion connoisseurs who are conscious shoppers & care for the environment & the artisans. All pieces are handwoven on wooden looms & crafted by the artisans by hand - a labour of love and art woven into one.

A solid stole takes about a week, while complex patterns (Kani, sozni) take about a year to be completed. Though machine-made Pashmina is quicker and cheaper, it doesn't have the same finesse, quality & can never replace a human hand.

We are in this industry to initiate a change somewhere. 5% of our proceeds go back to the welfare and upliftment of the families who work with us. Our current program focuses on empowerment of women and daughters of these families, who are not employed and have no source of income.

We facilitate their access to education, training, and vocational studies so that they can become employable and contribute to the income-building initiative that Kashmir so desperately needs
